The practical part of my bachelor work is smoothly, but relatively distantly, connected to the theoretical part. In approaching the topic of the precariat, I had the opportunity to gain more insight into the issue through the literature I had read, the existence of which could be doubted if the current system was not capitalism. The practical part of the bachelor's work thus no longer just observes and describes the issue, but in a metaphorical and abstract form tries to create some ground for critical dialogue and reflection on the question whether there really is "no alternative" to capitalism. The drawings, loosely transformed into wood objects combinig technique of papier-mâché, set in a staged office with mind-maps all over the walls, seek to find possible ways of redefining and rethinking seemingly immutable norms in something originally as rigid as a rectangular block, figuratively in the contemporary system.
